Many of today's fast food restaurants don't care about the quality of their food. A recent example of this is Taco Bell's supposed "beef" tacos. These tacos have been the subject of many lawsuits. The USDA defines products with beef as the "flesh of cows," while Taco Bell"s "beef" is really a mixture of some beef, and many non-meat substances, like wheat oats, soy lecithin, anti-dusting agent, and autolyzed yeast extract. These fillers are much cheaper, but the tacos cannot be called ground beef anymore, but now, mixed-meat filling. Also, Taco Bell's food has caused an outbreak of salmonella all across the U.S. The Center for Disease Control reported that 155 people in 21 states got salmonella, which all were traced back to a Taco Bell restaurant. Many people believe that they should have the right to know what they are eating.
